The Making of a Card — and the Life That Inspires It

This short video offers a behind-the-scenes look at our cardmaking process — from handmade paper to antique letterpress — and the peaceful, rural life that continues to inspire everything we create.

It was filmed in the studio we built on our founder Loren’s hobby farm — just a few steps from her back door.

Since then, we’ve moved a few miles down the road to a beautiful space in our small rural cowboy town, where we’ve opened a brick and mortar shop filled with artisan finds — and started teaching classes in papermaking, letterpress, and other intentional crafts. You're welcome to come visit us there!

Crafted With Care, From Fiber to Finish

Every Farmette card is made through a 17-step process that begins with plant-dyed, handmade paper and ends with heartfelt words, one card at a time, pressed on our antique letterpress machines.

We're a small team, doing this slowly, because we believe your words deserve to live in something made with presence.

More Than a Message — It's a Moment

Our customers tell us these cards don’t just get opened and recycled. They get tucked into nightstands. Saved in drawers. Displayed on mantels. Re-read years later.

Every time I send one, the recipient tells me they feel truly cared for… which is the whole point.
